Do you think people who do graffiti should be punished harshly?

It seems kids and adults who break the law in our fine country get away with it far to often or with very few consequenses. I think there should be much more community service and much less jail time. Jail may be no picnic but it cost me money to put some sorry graffiti ers in jail where as if I put the looser to work then maybe we can get something back from them.
