Im in legal trouble because of karate.did u know this?

im in trouble. got into a fight with a bouncer outside a club both of us were injured but i manage to end the fight with an arm bar, snaped his arm. a month later he traced my number plates down and pressed charges against me. the police say because i have a black belt in karate and judo, the charge escalates to attempted manslaughter. i have also pressed charges against him for ault because he was way bigger than me and he attacked me(as my witnesses will attest).why am i in more trouble just because he landed in hospital and i didnt?and shouldn't he be the one in trouble since he attacked me?do i have a chance at beating this or should i run for it?
