Explaining is hard - is this why AGW denial is so easy and common?
I completely agree. I've asked many questions in the past here concerning the physics behind climate change. If it's kept in simple terms I can easily understand it. Once it starts getting more complex I often have to go and look things up to get to a better understanding of what exactly is meant. Quite often this will take a few days as I have to search through articles, wade through the garbage, and come to an understanding. I pay the most attention, of course, to University .edu sites. Most people do not go to the trouble of learning something to this extent either because they are lazy, already have preconceived notions or just don't care. For the majority if people that speak here it is that they already have preconceived notions and refuse to look at the alternatives. Take JimZ for example. He is under the belief that science actually supports his view then he goes on to ridicule others for 'not learning the science themselves' because he refuses to look at anything that goes against his belief system.
